Praise & Worship

After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: "Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever." As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. 2 Chronicles 20:21-22

The declaration of praise and a lifestyle of continuous reverence of God are central to our lives as Christians. As members of the Worship Team, we are called to lead and provide an atmosphere for God's children to praise, worship and experience God. Essentially, we are charged with the task of going out at the head of the army, leading God's children in praise for the splendour of His holiness and ultimately ushering them into God's plan.

We do this at various levels of Church life, including:

• The weekly Celebration on Sundays;
• Open Heaven Worship Evenings, which are services with no agenda but that of unabashed praise;
• The Youth Band

We are constantly developing as a team and we welcome individuals who have a passion for God and for music. Being part of the Worship Team requires more commitment than most other arms of the church. You are encouraged to dedicate time and money to the development of your talent; and you are required to attend mid-week rehearsals and get involved with the set up early on Sunday mornings.
